This Luger was produced in 1935. The "G" was the secret code date for 1935 used by Mauser with the rearmament of Germany in the 1930's. 1936 was the first year that Germany felt that it was not neccessary to use secret codes for production dates. So the "G" date was the last year of the secret date codes. This pistol is a standard army issue luger. This pistols serial number is e 1126. All the parts are correctly serial numbered to this pistol. This includes the magazine. The magazine has the "+" below the serial number designating that this magazine is the spare. The bore is bright and clean. There is no pitting or damage to the rifling or lands of the bore. The grips are correctly serial numbered to the frame. The grips have no cracks or chips. The diamond points on the checkering are sharp, however there are a few points flattened from holser wear. The Luger shows very little use or shooting. The rust bluing is strong with light wear on the high points of the side plate and muzzle sides. The straw finish on the trigger, ejector, safety, magazine release and take down lever is strong with some fading mostly on the trigger. The straw finish would rate a 85% condition. The rust blue would rate a 92% condition. The magazine has almost all of the original plating. There is no dents or damage to the magazine body. The spring is strong and the follower works smoothly. The droop eagle 63 stamps are clear on the frame and magazine. This is a very respectable early Nazi Era Luger that survived the war in fine condition. Many of these early Nazi pistols saw hard service and to find a nice clean all original pistol in this condition is a real plus! This pistol would go very well in any Luger or Military collection.

Curio&Relic  Consn.  F. No. 179

War time ammunition was highly corrosive to the bore. To find military pistols with bright bores is a real find. It shows that they were well cared for. This pistol is one of them. These early Nazi Era pistols saw hard service throughout the war. You can find late issue Lugers in very fine to unissued condition due to the fact that many of them saw limited service due to the war ending. To find a early issue pistol in this condition is a real collectors find.

Concerning Phone Calls

For those folks that do not know me yet, I’m very hard of hearing on the phone. Therefore when you would call me, I will pick up the phone and tell you that I will call you right back. I have caller ID just so that you know, the reason for that is I cannot use a regular phone. I have to switch over to what is called a voice carry over phone. When I call you back  you will hear my voice in our conversation, an operator will type your conversation to me on my phone view screen. With me reading what you are saying to me saves me a lot of confusion for me mishearing words.

I do want to talk to you and answer your questions without mistakes or miscommunications. This system works pretty good, so please be willing to be patient with my hearing loss.

My wife Marcia has fine hearing on the phone and is quite knowledgeable about firearms and is very able to help you over the phone.

Thanks, Harry
